Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Will my ticket include lodging this year?
When you buy your conference pass, you will add on your preferred lodging option during checkout so you have a one-stop-shop this year!
Do I have to stay onsite?
While it’s not mandatory, staying on property aligns with the goal of minimizing distractions and maximizing the experience for everyone. It will also most likely be the most budget friendly option for you unless you live in the area. With only 60 rooms, we have the entire property to ourselves which adds to the unifying experience. The more ladies you fit into one room, the cheaper your lodging price becomes.
What is the room configuration?
o Rooms with Single Beds: These rooms have one bed and a padded window “bench” that can be used for extra seating or resting.o Rooms with Double Beds: These rooms feature two queen beds for more spacious accommodation.o Room assignments are on a first-come, first-served basis, so it’s a good idea to book early to get your preferred configuration. If you are coordinating with others, you might want to plan ahead to ensure you get the type of room that best suits your needs.

How will we rest on Shabbat?
o As Torah-loving sisters, we are dedicated to honoring the Sabbath at Surge and adhering to the biblical values of hospitality. To support this, we pre-pay for all meals well in advance and select a very simple menu for Shabbat lunch and dinner, which we encourage the kitchen to prepare the day before if safely possible. These meals are included in your conference pass, so you only need to focus on enjoying the Sabbath and cleaning up after yourself.o You are welcome to bring your own food for Shabbat if that better aligns with your approach to honoring the Sabbath.o The Surge Team and all speakers are volunteers who are committed to serving as part of their ministry—no one is making money from this event. While there may be venue employees present for emergencies, they are also encouraged to rest during the Sabbath by the Surge team.o We also slow down the agenda for Sabbath with at least one large block of free time for a nap or personal Bible study.o This approach ensures that we honor the Sabbath while allowing everyone to participate meaningfully and flexibly.
Is the food served at the conference Kosher?
While there will be no pork or shellfish served at Surge, the kitchen is not certified kosher.
What is the Eagle Eye Observatory Add-On?
The dark-sky location at Canyon of the Eagles is considered one of the best astronomic viewing sites in Texas. The elevation is approximately 1,100 feet above sea level. The observatory is a sliding-roof design with two independently movable roof sections to open the entire structure to the sky and provides modern telescopes with computer enhanced imaging and astronomical instruments led by a qualified astronomer.. When the weather does not permit telescope viewing, they provide programs via big screen television with planetarium software, videos and comprehensive interactive Q/A sessions. We will be providing a 10pm and 11pm Observatory experience for Surge sisters on Thursday and/or Saturday evening depending on the weather and number of ladies interested. The limit is 20 ladies to each showing and the earliest time slot will be chosen for you until that one is full and then you will be bumped to the later showing.
Is this conference a good fit for me?
This conference might be right for you if you can answer yes to all of these questions.o Are you a woman who would consider yourself at least one of these titles? Messianic, Christian, Hebrew, Jewish, or First Century believer?
o Can you leave your ego and dogma at home? o Can you fully embrace the unity of Yah’s daughters?
o Can you maintain respect to all your sisters during your time at Surge?
We are serious about unity in Yah's house where being ONE does not mean being the SAME. We look different, act different, sound different, have different gifts and different views on several topics. We respect everyone’s journey to the truth and believe that no one has everything figured out until the Messiah returns and sets us all strait himself. Surge sisters should come with an open heart and a willingness to engage respectfully. If you’re looking to assert your views or convert others to your way of thinking, this conference is not a good fit for you. Whether you’re new to the walk or a seasoned veteran, we have workshops tailored to all because we know everyone is in a different place on their path. We are excited to come together as a diverse yet united community, seeking to grow and learn from one another…like the Bereans!
How do you choose the speakers at Surge?
At Surge, the selection of speakers is important to ensure alignment with core beliefs while embracing a range of perspectives on other topics. Here is a summary of the process:o 1. All speakers must uphold the core belief that Yah, the Father of the Universe, sent His son, our Messiah Yeshua, for the salvation of mankind. (Name pronunciation will differ among speakers)o 2. Beyond the core belief, speakers often have differing views on various secondary topics which include but are not limited to: Pronunciations of names Eschatology (the study of end times) Head coverings Tzit tzits (fringes on garments) Calendars
DISCLAIMER:
Opinions and teachings of the speakers are their own and do not reflect the views of the Surge Women’s Conference as a whole. There is an understanding that speakers might not agree on all secondary topics, and the Surge Women's Conference encourages this discussion and sharpening of these issues in a respectful and loving approach. This ensures a unified foundation of faith while allowing for a rich diversity of perspectives within the conference.
