Attendee Agreement

By attending the Surge Women’s Conference, you agree to abide by and engage in certain conduct while attending the event as well as associated policies regarding fees, transfers, refunds, content, privacy and media. Failure to comply with these guidelines may result in removal from the conference at the discretion of SURGE personnel without refund.
SURGE values the participation of all sisters present and is committed to providing a safe, productive, and welcoming environment for all attendees. All participants, including, but not limited to, attendees, speakers, volunteers, exhibitors, SURGE staff members, service providers, and all others are expected to abide by this Code of Conduct. This Policy applies to all SURGE meeting-related events, including those sponsored by organizations other than SURGE but held in conjunction with SURGE events, on public or private platforms.
Expected Behavior for Attendees: • Lead with unity. • Strive for sensitivity, humility and a safe environment for everyone to come unhindered in their personal way. We encourage you to pray for the Spirit to guide your words, thoughts and actions before you even arrive at Surge. • Respect the dignity of each person as made in the image and likeness of YHWH • Listen well to others. Make room for a diversity of voices in group discussions, on panels, and the like. • Be collaborative. Be mindful not to exert dominance over others. Consider the effect of relationship, position, experience, and privilege power differentials, and other factors to avoid dominance. • Demonstrate that differing perspectives are valued — critique ideas (not people). Unacceptable Behavior is defined as: • Harassment, intimidation, or discrimination of any attendee, speaker, volunteer, SURGE staff member, service provider, or other meeting guest in any form including: Verbal or physical action • The recording or transmissions of any education sessions, presentations, demos, videos, or content in any format is strictly prohibited unless approved by a SURGE staff member. • Disruption of presentations during sessions or at other events organized by SURGE throughout the conference. SURGE reserves the right to take any action deemed necessary and appropriate, including immediate removal from the meeting and/or conference without warning or refund, in response to any incident of unacceptable behavior, and SURGE reserves the right to prohibit attendance presently and future. Regarding Fees: The payment of the applicable fee(s) for the Event is due upon registration. If such payment(s) is insufficient or declined for any reason SURGE may refuse to admit you to the Event and shall have no liability in that regard. The fee(s) may be subject sales tax, value added tax, or any other taxes and duties which, if applicable, will be charged to you in addition to the fee(s). Regarding Transfers and Refunds: There are no refunds. All sales are final. Attendee may transfer her ticket to another sister in the event that she cannot make it to Surge but must inform the Surge Team of this transfer.
